Tightening the rear axle

Sometimes the rear axle of your Pulse electric bicycle can become loose due to use, the load of the bicycle, among other factors.

This can cause your Pulse to malfunction or, in extreme cases, even damage your engine.

Therefore, we recommend that before each trip (or at least once a week) you make sure that the nuts and bolts on your rear tire are properly tightened and installed.

Tighten the nuts as follows:

Instructions

Step 1: Identify the tool

Find key 19 in your ToolKit.
This will be the only tool you will need for the entire procedure, although you can also use clamps or pliers.

Step 2: Press on the disc side

Using the wrench, tighten the gray nut as shown in the image above. Tighten firmly until the nut does not move at all.

Step 3: Identify the nut cap

On the other side (on the derailleur side) identify the nut: it will be covered by a rubber plug.

Step 4: Remove the plug

With your fingers, without applying too much pressure, remove the rubber cap that protects the nut and move it over the motor cable while performing the necessary maintenance.

Step 5: Tighten the motor nut

With the same wrench, tighten the motor nut firmly, being careful not to damage the cable.

Step 6: Replace the plug

When you finish tightening both sides, don't forget to replace the rubber plug on top of the derailleur nut to ensure that it is always well protected.
Congratulations! With that you have finished the process of tightening the nuts on your rear axle.
