Constant care
Before each ride check:
- Battery: Check that you have locked your battery and that it is no longer connected to the charger. If you are going on a long trip, make sure you have enough charge.
- Brakes: Gently press both brakes to ensure they work properly. Inspect the brake pads for wear.
- Accelerator: With Pulse off, gently press the accelerator to ensure nothing is blocking it.
- Wheels: Lift your Pulse and check how your wheels turn. Make sure they roll straight and the discs do not rub against the brake pads.
- Tires: Make sure tires are inflated to the recommended pressure (30 psi) and inspect for any damage.
- Handlebars: Adjust the handlebars so that they are at the proper height and that they are secure under the insertion line. Also, make sure they are tightened tightly enough.
- Chain: Make sure your chain is free of dust and rust. If it rattles when using it, lubricate it.
- Nuts: Check the “Quick Release” mechanisms and any other levers or nuts are tight and in no danger of coming loose.
- Lights: Make sure the lights work.
Every 15 days, or every 100 kilometers of use, check:
- Check and adjust the front and rear brakes, checking by squeezing the brake levers to verify the current wear of the pads.
- Clean and inspect the frame.
- Clean and lubricate Pulse transmission. You can use wet towels for the transmission to remove debris from the chain, and grease with Teflon-based oil.
