Maintaining your Pulse

Remember that your Pulse is a combination of different materials and systems whose lifespan can be as long as how frequent the appropriate maintenance is that you can provide it in due time, which is why we recommend the following points to keep your Pulse ready for the walk.

Tip!
We recommend that you review your User Manual for more maintenance and service information.

Before each ride check:

  1. Battery: Check that you have locked your battery and that it is no longer connected to the charger. If you are going on a long trip, make sure you have enough charge.
  2. Brakes: Gently press both brakes to ensure they work properly. Inspect the brake pads for wear.
  3. Accelerator: With Pulse off, gently press the accelerator to ensure nothing is blocking it.
  4. Wheels: Lift your Pulse and check how your wheels turn. Make sure they roll straight and the discs do not rub against the brake pads.
  5. Tires: Make sure tires are inflated to the recommended pressure (30 psi) and inspect for any damage.
  6. Handlebars: Adjust the handlebars so that they are the proper height and are secure under the insertion line. Also, make sure they are tightened tightly enough.
  7. Chain: Make sure your chain is free of dust and rust. If it rattles when using it, lubricate it.
  8. Nuts: Check the “Quick Release” mechanisms and any other levers or nuts are tight and in no danger of coming loose. Especially check the rear axle section of the bicycle, which is the one that receives the torque generated by the motor, and tends to loosen with use and the vibration associated with the component. Lights: Make sure the lights work.

Every 15 days, or 100 kilometers of use, check:

  1. Check and adjust the front and rear brakes, checking by squeezing the brake levers to verify the current wear of the pads.
  2. Clean and inspect the frame.
  3. Clean and lubricate Pulse transmission.

Every 30 days or 250 kilometers of use check:

  1. Check and adjust chain tension.
  2. Check the condition of the tires looking for uneven wear.
  3. Verify that the condition of the battery holder is in excellent condition, trying to keep it without signs of moisture or abuse.

Every 45 days, or every 400 kilometers of use, check:

  1. Check the battery connections for wear.
  2. Check the tightness of ALL nuts and bolts, as well as change brake pads.
  3. Check the conditions of your connections by following the connect and disconnect procedure shown on the previous page.
