Replace brake pads
Brakes are a critical safety feature on any electric bike and therefore it is important to check them for any general wear and tear before each ride.
If you notice that your pads are wearing out or if you have driven more than 600-1100km, it is probably time to change your brake pads.
How to replace brake pads
Once you receive your new brake pads, simply follow the steps in our video below or take them to a local bike shop where they can exchange them for a small fee. It will take less than 10 minutes and you will be on your bike before you know it.
To replace your brake pads, you will need:
-
A 3mm allen key
-
A screwdriver with a thin, clean flat tip

4. Once the screw is removed, gently remove the brake pads and their metal fastener.
5. Being very careful not to touch the white pads, place both parts back into the metal holder, with the white part facing in.
6. Once you assemble it, return it to its place on the braking mechanism.
7. Replace the screw that you had removed, using the Allen wrench. Make sure the screw goes through the middle of the hole for that use of the pads.
8. Tighten the screw moderately, not excessively.
9. Reinstall the braking mechanism.
