How to meet the very high demand for Pulse electric bicycles: Pandemic Edition. With COVID we had to rethink our supply chain by streamlining our logistics processes, we had to modify and improve our components to have a high-end electric bicycle at an excellent price.

We wanted to offer our community: Urban Nomads, a sustainable, fun, agile and high-end mobility alternative, combining the best components with the best price. For this purpose, however, the pandemic became a double-edged sword: a boost to sales as well as an obstacle in logistical processes and costs.

This meant significant exponential growth for us at Pulse, who were just beginning to implement our vision: when we express how quickly we run out of inventory we mean it.

People, who no longer want to expose themselves to the dangers of the pandemic, began to move around on ebikes and found in Pulse everything they were looking for in an electric bicycle. With this, our goal began to be met: that electric bicycles become the mobility alternative for all Mexicans.


As customers, we often don't realize the global process that is taking place to get a product, like a Pulse, to our doorstep. The restrictions of the pandemic, mixed with some natural phenomena on the road, as well as the rise in freight and material prices worldwide, generated an increase in the price and waiting times of electric bicycles in the world, also having an impact for us at Pulse.


This meant the development of a new distribution and supply strategy. We focus on getting our electric bicycles to the community as quickly as possible, always going through strict quality tests, with almost no permanence in our warehouse since high sales rarely allow it. Furthermore, the long waiting times for components led us to look for alternatives that matched the quality of our components, from other, perhaps less well-known brands.


Despite our efforts, waiting times have increased as it is difficult to make the global mechanism work amid the difficult circumstances we face.


Although we have faced intense supply chain challenges, we have adapted and continue to thrive. No business grows when things are easy; We grow through adversity.
